Non-Toxic and Easy to Use
The color-shift powder is safe for direct skin contact and contains no harsh chemicals (not intended for consumption). To use, simply mix the thermochromic pigment powder with a clear base. Start with a small amount and gradually add more until you achieve the desired color. Be mindful that the mixing process can generate heat, which may momentarily change the color of the mixture. Patience and experimentation are key.
Temperature-Activated Color Transformation
When heat is applied to the thermochromic microcapsule, the internal substance structure changes, causing the color to disappear. As the material cools down, the internal structure returns to its original state, restoring the original color.
This thermochromic pigment powder changes from its first color to its second color at 88°F (31°C). As it cools, the craft shifts back to its original hue.
Color Palette and Recommendations
This thermochromic pigment powder pack includes 5 color-changing combinations: - Orange to Yellow - Dark Green to Lime - Purple to Pink - Cyan to Green-yellow - Violet to Blue
Recommended concentrations: - Solvent/water-based ink/paint: 3-30% w/w (25%) - Plastics injection/extrusion: 0.2-1% w/w (0.5%)
Please note that thermochromic pigments have limited UV light resistance, heat resistance, and aging resistance compared to standard paints. Exercise caution when using them in your creative projects.
